Who I Am

Chrysula WinegarChrysula Winegar is a mother, work life flexibility advocate, social media obsessive and business woman. She has four young children who have taught her infinitely more than her almost twenty years of experience in blue chip corporations including Ernst & Young, Estee Lauder Companies and NatWest UK.

Work Life

She has lived and traveled all over the world. Her professional life began in Sydney, Australia then London, UK. For the last twelve years she has been based in New York and surrounds. Throughout her career she has been intrigued by the relationship between companies, individuals and their families.

Chrysula uses her extensive management experience in international marketing, training and organizational change, to write, advise and coach specifically on work life balance strategies. Through her blog www.chrysulawinegar.com, she agitates for what she calls:

“the holy trinity of individual knowledge and responsibility, corporate culture and policy and careful base-line legislation.”

Chrysula has blogged with MomsRising.org, the Huffington PostCorporate Voices for Working Families and others. Chrysula’s work will be featured in two books being published in 2012, Dream, Dare, Do: Remarkable Things Can Happen When You Dare to Dream and The 12 Powers of Motherhood.

Social Media

Passionate about connectedness and the power of social media to foster mobilization and thought leadership, Chrysula is also the Social Media Marketing Director for www.powerofmoms.com. She has presented the past two years at the United Nations Foundation/Mashable Digital Media Lounge for UN Week on Changing the World One Mother at a Time and is a regular speaker both nationally and abroad. She has an active social media consulting practice focused on reaching mothers online, particularly on cause related initiatives. Recent client projects include advising the UN Foundation and ABC’s Million Moms Challenge.

Chrysula is a graduate of the University of London, UK, with a Masters in Organizational Behavior. Her undergraduate degree was a Bachelors of Economics, from the University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia. She and her husband and four children live in Connecticut and jointly run an art advisory company, Winegar Fine Art. Her husband says if she ever loses her accent, the deal’s off.
